Outlook Today, OL2000, Doesn't work, Can't send email

Yesterday OL2000 froze up on my machine when trying to reply to an email that
may have had a virus, not sure. Anyway I suddenly could not get anything to
work, could not change folders, send, receive, etc. I hoped to do a detect
and repair, but could not get into that part of OL, so reinstalled.

After reinstalling it had a new Outlook Today and new, empty folder. But,
it also had my old pst info with all folders, Inbox, Outbox, etc. But, when
I checked email the first time the new email went to the new Outlook Today
Inbox, rather than my older one connected to my pst file.

I ended up deleting the newer Outlook Today and folders under it, but now
can't get Outlook to send or receive and Outlook Today does not work
properly.

I read some comments and tried a few things, but still can't OL2000 to work,
can't send or receive and not sure what to do except pull my hair out.

Any help? Many thanks!

Click Tools>Sevices. Click the Delivery tab. Select the proper PST and
click "Delivery new message to this location".

No because you've removed the PST where Outlook expects to delivery mail.
Try the above.

Brian,
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I looked under tools in my Outlook 2000
and there is no Services Tab under Tools. I have a Send, Send/Receive,
Address Book, Find, Advanced Find, Organize, Rules Wizard, Forms, Macro,
Accounts, Customize and Options Tabs, but I can't seem to find a Services tab
anywhere.

I don't remember seeing a Service Tab before. Could that tab be in a
different version of Outlook?

Not a different version, but a different mode. The Accounts menu item
exists for Outlook 2000 in Internet Mail Only mode and the Services menu
item exists in Outlook 2000 in Corporate and Workgroup mode. I believe you
should be able to right-click the PST you want to be your delivery location
(i.e., the old one), choose Properties, and on the General tab check "make
this file my delivery location", or word to that effect.
