Outlook Today Customization button doesn't work

Installed Office 2000 on a clean XP install
-updated to SP3 on Office
-updated to SP2 + security updates on XP Pro

Customization button on Outlook Today page is not functioning.
Checked to see if VB was working (Tools - Macros - VB). it is.
I want to set the Inbox as my opening view but can't get there without the
button.

You can edit the registry to make changes to Outlook Today.
