Can't Click on Customize Outlook Today Button

Hello,

While setting up a new computer today I noticed a strange problem associated with Outlook 2000. When I click on Outlook Today and try to click on the Customize Outlook Today button, it "clicks" but nothing happens. This happened on a brand new tablet PC I just installed Office 2000 on, and I had every windows update and office update installed before setting up the E-mail account. When I went to another computer, a Windows 2000 Server running Terminal Services with Outlook also available there, the same thing happened! It used to work on the server because it's normal practice for me to modify something for Outlook Today. The tablet PC and the server's installs of Outlook are completely unrelated and one is not affecting the other, what makes this weird. Is this an Office Update problem perhaps?

When I tried a 3rd computer, this one running Office XP and XP Pro, I could get into the Customize Outlook Today no problemo. I don't think a reinstall or repair of office will fix this. One is a fresh install, the other used to work, and neither computer is related to each other in any way for there to be a related cause.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No there is not a patch in the works. You can edit the registry though.

I was experiencing the same problem and found your post. Please advise if
there is a permenant patch being developed that will allow customization
without compromising security.
