Outlook today and another folder with my name on it

In my outlook, I have both an mailbox that says outlook today and one that
says my name. The one with my name on it has a different icon than my
archived folders and my outlook today (personal folder). I am sending emails
out lately and my default mailbox location has been the one labeled my name.
The messages t hat I am sending out are in my outbox on my mailbox today
(personal folder). There is only one data file and I cannot figure out if i
can delete either box? I need to because they are confusing. It appears I
can not delete either. How was this created? Could it potentially be
because I access my email when I am at home from our company web-based email
system? HELP!

What does the message say when you try to close the folders? What is the
folder path when you check the properties? (Right click on the folder with
your name or outlook today and click the advanced tab to find the location.)

Diane:

I figured out the issue. We are on an exchange server and had the users
outlook pointing to a data file as well on her local machine. She loves
creating additional work. Thank you!
