Order of folder list and missing "Mailbox - "

In my Outlook 2000 client, I see Personal Folders, then Public Folders, then
Outlook Today - my name. Since my name starts with a T, it is in the correct
order. However, it used to say "Outlook Today - [Mailbox - my name]", and
when it had Mailbox, it would be in Outlook Today - [Mailbox - my name],
Personal Folders, then Public Foldes. I am using an Exchange server. Anyone
know how I can get "Mailbox - " back?

Nick, I have the same problem. Did you ever find a solution / workaround for
this?

Thanks,

Nick,

I think I have an answer. We ran in to the same problem where I work and
this is what we did. As you know, the Folder List is suppose to be listed
alphabetical however Exchange mailboxes always appear as…

Mailbox - <DisplayName>

Chances are that this got modified, so to change it, do the following….

1) In the Folder List view pane, right click on the top of the mailbox where
it says “Outlook Today…†and select properties
2) One would think that you could rename it to “Mailbox - <DisplayName>â€
here but you can’t!!! So instead copy what is currently in there to the
clipboard. Chances are it isn’t in the same order / syntax as what I
described above.
3) With the mailbox name in memory, open RegEdit.
4) Within Regedit, select EDIT -> FIND.
5) Paste the value in there and search the entire registry. It should find
a string value.
6) Edit the String Value so that it reads “Mailbox - <DisplayName>
7) Close all of Outlook and restart it. This should fix it.
