OUTLOOK takes a long time to become responsive

I am using Office 2002 (updated to Sp3)on a XP Home SP2 Centrino Acer
notebook which I bought in DUBAI.

I have several problems and was hoping someone could help me out with them

1. I bought the Microsoft XP Office 2002 CD in DUBAI and along with that I
got a language conversion pack and Frontpage separately now when I open any
files in WORD I get some gibberish in Arabic and then a bit in English,

Outlook has named my subfolders with gibberish too it ain't in Arabic nor
English but a mis mash of cryllic and god knows what.

1. Is there a way I can rename all the folders in English in Outlook as when
I try and change them it is greyed out?

2. Remove all the Arabic Sub Headings from Word, Frontpage etc..?

Another problem I face with Microsoft Outlook is that whenever I try and
open OUTLOOK it takes a long time to become responsive, I gather that it
searches for Windows Messenger to start too, I have ticked off the option of
running OUTLOOK with Messenger support for my hotmail based accounts.

Why is this happening???
thanks
cheers

You need ask only once.

To try to correct the time it takes to get Outlook to respond, try disabling
IM integration. It's at the bottom of Tools>Options>Other.

To try to correct the folder names, try starting Outlook with the
/resetfoldernames switch. Click Start>Run and enter:

"%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office10\Outlook.exe" /resetfoldernames

(keeping the quotes and spaces) in the Open box.
