Outlook stopped attaching incoming & outgoing files,why?

Recently in Outlook, when I attempt to save an attachment mailed to me to a
personal folder..Outlook freezes up. The work around is to drag the
attachment to the desktop. Open my personal file, then drag the attachment
into the file for saving. Also when in Outlook Mail, and I attempt to send
an attachment...Outlook freezes up. The work around here is..with Outlook
Mail open, open the personal file, find the attachment, drag the attachment
to the Outlook subject line and drop it.
One week ago this was NOT an ISSUE. What happen?.
Suggestions for repair?
