hey, is there anyway to stop outlook from going to my hotmail account when i
start it up. right now, when i start outlook, it takes forever for me to do
anything with it bc it always checks my hotmail account, which takes
forever. i want to disable it from doing it. i know with outlook express you
can disable it, but i cant find any button that will let me do it with
outlook. thanx in advance for all of your help.

Tools>Options>and within there some where is an option to
check email avery so many minutes. Turn it off.

Open Tools/Options/General tab and remove the check mark from the "Send and
receive messages at start up" option.

Are we talking Outlook or Outlook Express? Outlook, by default,
doesn't check hotmail accounts. I don't know about Craplook, I mean
Outlook, Express.

You do realize these two programs are alike only in that they both
share the word "Outlook" in their name?
