Outlook Slow

When the program opens it is fine.
When I open a new email it takes forever.
This also happens when I am opening a email sent to me---
takes forever to open. HOw do we fix this.

Are you using WORD as your default mail veiwer
That might be the slow dow
Do one of the following

Turn Word on or off as your default e-mail editor for all new message

From the main Outlook window, click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.
Select or clear the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box.
