Outlook signatures / Multiple accounts

I use Outlook 2003. I have multiple email accounts. Each account is
associated with a signature. One of these accounts is the "default"
account when creating a new message.

If I create a new message, Outlook, as expected, inserts the signature
of the default account into the body. If I then change which account I
am sending from, it leaves the signature from the first account inside.
I must then erase it, and insert the signature from the alternate
account.

Is there a way around this problem? Ideally, I would like to (have the
option) to choose which account I am sending from when creating a new
message and presumably Outlook would then use the proper signature.

Right now, I can only press "New" (New Mail Message) which then uses
the default account. Is there an interface with which I can select the
account first?

I think you should be able to right-click the signature and get a context
menu of the other signatures.

The Accounts button should let you change accounts.

At first I did not understand what you meant - then I realized your
solution only works if you use Word as your email editor (which I do
not). I guess I will have to then as I do not see another way. Thanks.

Account-specific signatures work only when using Word as the mail editor, I
believe.
