Multiple Email Accounts, Automatic Multiple Signatures

Outlook 2003 set up with 1 profile, 2 accounts....one is a pop account
and one is an Exchange account.

I created 2 signatures, one for each account. I went to Tools,
Options, Mail Format tab and assigned the appropriate signature to the
appropriate account.

It seems to me the fact that this option even exists means that when I
create a new message in a particular account that the signature for
that account is used, but that is not the case.

The default account signature is used regardless of which account
creates the email.

Is it possible with outlook 2003 to have the signature automatically
inserted based on which account creates the email?
