Outlook sending meeting invite to all, not just new person

J

I often add people to a meeting invite after I have scheduled a meeting. The
problem occurs after I add the person. I have found
1) if I use send update - it goes to everyone (so I don't use this)
2) that clicking 'save and close' brings up a window where I have the option
to send the invite to JUST the new person, everyone, or no one. I then
select only the new invitee, and everything is hunky dory

Lately, however, this window is NOT coming up and I am asked only if I want
to send the update to the entire list of invitees. This is extremely
annoying. I am using Outlook 2003. Is this a software bug?

Are you using the live map add-in? does it work if you restart outlook? Just
because the person who asked the original question use outlook 2007 doesn't
mean its limited to that version.

_I_ was the original poster and indicated that I was using Outlook 2003.
Where are you getting 2007 from? I have no idea what live map add-in is, nor
is it applicable to any part of this posting for the question asked

You said the article I pointed you to as a possible solution did not apply
because it mentions outlook 2007. It only mentions outlook 2007 because the
person quoted in the article mentioned Outlook 2007. Outlook 2003 is also
affected.

But since you don't think you are using the live maps add-in, which links
appointment locations to an online map, the cause could be something else.
Maybe its another add-in - look in tools, options, other tab, Advanced
options, COM Addins to see what's listed. Disable all and see if it works as
expected. If so, enable one at a time and test it to see which causes it to
fail.
