Outlook Send/Receive error msg "... An object could not be found"

After a hard drive replacement and reinstall of Office 2003, I can't get
Outlook to send or receive from my Earthlink account. An Earthlink tech
spent a lot of time with me trying to make sure my account was properly set
up. The "Test Account Settings" even verified that the account information
was correct.

However, anytime I try to send or send/receive I get the error message "The
operation failed. An object could not be found.". The Earthlink tech claims
that it's an Outlook problem, and suggested an uninstall/reinstall of
Outlook. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
 
Hi Karen,

The problem you are experiencing can be caused by a corrupt Outlook profile. Create a new profile using the steps from the article below, and test.
