Outlook safe mode freezes

A couple of weeks ago, I was connected to the Internet and Outlook was
checking e-mail. I then got a message saying that I could not connect to my
IP address. Since it was connected via DSL, I thought that I'll shut down
the router, it might be warm.
Well, I still cannot use Outlook to check my messages. Yet, I can still get
out to the internet.

Outlook now won't start and even freezes in safe mode. I have tried to
repair the problem, but it keeps coming back.

Hi,
so if outlook hangs in the safe mode, how big is your pst file?
