Outlook - Reply Message Icon

Whenever I reply to an Email (Outlook 2003), the message icon turns from an
envelope to one with a purple arrow thru it. However, if I continue the
string of Emails back and forth the icon goes back to the original envelope
(no arrow thru it). Is there any way that this can be changed so the whole
string as the reply icon beside each email in the string ??

What exactly do you mean by "string of emails" and "continue the string back
and forth"?

I mean Emailing each other back and forth using 'reply'. I was wondering if
there's any way for the icon for each Email to have the reply icon as opposed
to the simple envelope icon.

I can't duplicate the problem. Messages to which I have replied always have
the "replied" icon.

I'm looking for a way to remove the "replied" icon after having replied to an e-mail. Is there any way to "clear" the "replied" status?

I don't know of any.

Hi - I'm a newcomer here. I'm having the same problem. I've seen
several threads about this problem but no solution.

The icon does not change on some e-mails that I reply to. Not all,
but some - maybe 10 to 20%. Sure, it's not a huge problem, but it
does complicate things. I can respond to 50 e-mails a day, easy.
Some days more, some days less. Not having the icon change makes it
harder for me to keep track of who I have responded to. Of course, I
have to check in the Sent Items box to see if I did indeed reply.

Any help would be appreciated.

Brand new joiner here, also researching this issue and I think it only happens for people who have BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) accounts can you guys who are also experiencing this confirm if this may in fact be the case?

What issue - you are really very unclear. Give all information,
including your version of Outlook, etc.

Cant be any clearer, the issue has been well documented on almost every post in this thread (the fact that the icon is not displaying correctly when a message has been replied to or forwarded etc). I merely want to know if the users in this thread experiencing this issue are working in an environment where Blackberry is installed.
