Windows 200, Outlook 2003, Exchange Server 2003 on a SBS 20003 server..
When switching between contacts folders in our Public Folders, Outlook seems
slow, much slower than the other computers in our office. My Outlook status
bar says "online" in the corner while the other computers in the office have
"connected." (This is when in Public Folders or in Favorites.) When I'm in
my own folders, it says "connected," as it should, because Outlook is in
cached mode. Apparently, on my computer, Outlook is not in cached mode when
I'm using the public folders.
There is a link on my computer between Outlook and Timeslips 2006. When
Timeslips synchronizes contacts with Outlook, it takes a very long time and
the cpu usage is at 100 percent. This is divided between Outlook.exe at
about 40 to 50 percent and Services.exe also at about 40 to 50 percent.
These problems seemed to come after I tried Outlook in non cached mode. I
switched Outlook back, but it still seems to be in non-cached mode as
regards the public folders.
What is going on here? thanks for any help.
