Outlook pst file almost doubled in size

It grew from 850 mb to 1.4 gb in only one week. I know I didn't add that
much data. Using the "compact" command makes no difference. I have no idea
what's happening. I would like to get it smaller.

Any suggestions?

I found the problem. I inadvertently created a draft email message with a
600 mb attachment. My bad. So, deleted the email, cleared the deleted
items folder, did the normal compacting, and we're back to normal. Oh
well...
