Outlook Prompts for Login

We are experiencing an issue where XP Pro laptop users are prompted for a
login in Outlook. Here's the scenario... They take their laptop home and
connect to our corporate network via Neoteris. When they return to work with
their laptop, they are prompted for a login to Outlook even though they are
connected to the network. The only way we've found to fix this is to
repair/reinstall Office.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

This sounds normal to me. We, too, use the Juniper Networks (they bought
out Neoteris last year some time) VPN and this happens to us as well. You
have to authenticate to the Exchange server anyway, so why does it bother
you in this case? Being logged into the network does not necessarily supply
credentials to the Exchange server.

We use NT Authentication with Exchange, so the user should never be prompted
for a login in Outlook. The users do not even know their Exchange password.

I was able to eliminate the login prompt with the following registry edits.

Disable Saving Network Credentials by setting the following key to 1
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\LsaDisableDomainCreds.

Delete RPC_Binding _Order by deleting the following key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Exchange Provider\RPC_Binding_Order.
