Outlook problem

Hi.
I'm using Outlook 2000 over exchange server, and I have 2 personal folders.
Onea of them is Inbox to whitch I'm downloading mail form the exchange, and
other one is the grouped so that I have several folders for each eg. person
that frequently send's me mail.

I also have a set of rules that download all mail that arrives to my Inbox
(personal folder, not exchange) to move them to other personal folder in the
folder that coresponds with the eg. mailer's e-mail adress.

Now, I've noticed that when I get mail that is covered by that set of rules,
I don't get any information about reciving mail. No sound is played, no icon
in the taskbar...

However, if a mail arives that is not covered by that set of rules, than
everything is OK.

Hope someone can help.

I think that's just the way mail notification works. You get notified of
messages in that stay in your Inbox. I could be wrong, though.

Unless they are server side rules (and messages move before you download
them), you should get a notification- most people are irritated when they
get it because they don't want it on mail that is moved.
