Outlook password

I've recently installed IE v7 and when I log into outlook it no longer
recognises my password. I've checked the settings in mail format and reset
them to the same password as before but this hasn't helped. I can only read
my hotmail emails through msn now, any suggestions welcome.

I don't get an error message, when I 'OK' the password it pops up again
asking for a password. This continues, no matter how many times I retype the
correct password.

Does your password still work using www.hotmail.com?
If it does, do you use MSN Hotmail Free, or MSN Hotmail Paid (Plus)?

My password still works logging into Hotmail.com, the free service, not paid
service. It may be a coincidence that this problem occured at the time of
upgrading to IE 7 but I can't think of what else may be the problem.b

A few years ago, MSN removed the ability to use free hotmail on anything but
their website, to prevent people sending spam to through hotmail.

At the end of your email address, is it @hotmail.com, @hotmail.co.uk, or
something different?

Try and un-install Internet Explorer 7, and see if it still doesn't work.

It is probably something that Microsoft have done to Hotmail.
