Outlook offline

I have the same problem. Was told to go to the Outlook icon in the lower
right hand corner, right click and open Outlook. When I click on open
nothing happens - but this seems to be the problem. Outlook is closed, but I
can't get it to open. Thoughts?

Bring up the task manager and see how many outlook.exe's are listed under
the processes tab. Nuke them one by one as you have something that is
starting a hidden instance of Outlook or you have a 3rd party program that
is hanging Outlook at close.

thanks - did it (found only one outlook.exe), then re-started but still have
the same problem. Still won't open - 0x80040126 error. Have no idea about a
3rd party program that's causing problems - haven't installed anything.

hmm.. MSN/hotmail/http connector/account nonsense I suspect. What type of
accounts do you have defined in Outlook?
