I have clients using Outlook 2007 that now get a message saying Outlook is
not their default email program, run Outlook to make it the default program.
Problem is they have not used any other email program as the computers are
relatively new. They click OK and it works fine, but is bothersome. Any
ideas of how to correct this.

Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Programs - set Outlook as the
default there. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please post back.

I have now checked that out and it is set correctly, I have just checked the
registry options and they are defaulted to Microsoft Outlook. I am stumped.

Is this the key you checked:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles

I looked there and it is set to Outlook. I did find that error message
though. It is located in HKEY_lOCAL-MACHINE\Software\Clients\Mail\PreFirstRun

Either there is no default mail client or the curent mail client cannot
fufill the mesaging request. Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it
as the default mail client

I am new at this and my computer is set exactly the same as the ones that
are receiving the error message. Further help will be greatly appreciated.
