Outlook not exporting date sent/received

I'm trying to export emails from Outlook 2000. I'd be happy just
saving them to a file but I want to import them into Entourage X for
Mac, which I'm using as an email archive.

Only, Entourage won't read my PST file and there doesn't appear to be
any export option from Outlook that - bizarrely - doesn't strip out
the date sent/received. Plainly I'm doing something wrong because
Outlook can't possibly shed the date off an email, it'd be like
dropping the vowels or something, but how do I fix it?

Any ideas very gratefully received.
