Outlook not downloading all mail

N

Newsgroup

I recently had to start a new pst file in Outlook 2000, and specified that
it should be where mail would be delivered. I then transferred all my old
mail to it. Now there is SOME mail that is not being delivered to the inbox
(or anywhere else.) I have Outllook on another computer which I don't
always use, and it will download all the mail. It will also download into
Outlook Express, but I don't use that as my main mail program. I tried
uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook, and it did not correct the problem.
Does anyone know another solution. It appears to be mainly private mail
from my friends and family, but there are others I have lost as well. I am
now leaving the mail on my provider's server and deleting it manually after
checking their webmail to be sure I haven't lost an important message, but
that is too time consuming to continue for long.

Thanks for any help.

Do you have any rules that move mail from your family or friends to folders
that you did not recreate in Outlook? I would check the Rules Wizard for
the probably culprit.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Newsgroup asked:
