Outlook New Message Notification

In Outlook Express when a message is delivered to a folder other than the
Inbox due to a rule and that folder is hidden from the current view the
folder it is under will show that one of its sub-folders will has a new
message. This doesn't happen in Outlook. Does anybody know how to get
Outlook 2003 to behave in the same manner Outlook Express does with new
messages in subfolders?
