Outlook Mail Merge no longer supports plain text emails

Hi,

Just venting here; I doubt anything will change as a result of this, but I
thought I'd get it out of my system!

On Monday I did an email merge in Outlook 2003. This was a very lengthy
procedure because between each message I got the dreaded 'Another program is
trying to send email' warning and delay between each message despite the fact
that the Mail Merge originated in Outlook.

I thought an upgrade from SP1 to SP2 might help, and I find out that SP2
apparently munges the ability to perform mailmerge on plain-text emails, and
yet on Monday I was able to do this.

And it doesn't fix the over-zealous email-sending warning bug. Great.

You can avoid the security prompts by generating HTML format messages from the merge. If the merge itself isn't working, please provide steps to reproduce the problem.
