I am wondering is there away not to let outlook start loading ones email
before validating their credentials.

We are on an exchange server.

We have a user id and password, however the emails load up from the last
time we were on the server.

One can just hit cancel and read emails without puttting in a user name or
password, they are not able to receive any current email.

Does anyone have any suggestions for making this a more secured.

Thank you
Dawn

Under normal circumstances Outlook with Exchange is based on the user's NT
authentication. If the user is logged into the domain, they don't have to
authenticate to the Exchange server to pull email.

I'm not sure I understand from your description what you're trying to
accomplish. Do you have multiple people with mail accounts accessing the
network with one network profile? In that case, set up multiple profiles in
Outlook (use the Control Panel), set up the accounts to not use NT
authentication (use none instead), and configure Outlook to always prompt for
a profile.

If this is not what you mean, please post back. I can't physically see what
it is you're trying to do so you have to describe it to me.

You're looking at the cached messages. Disable cached Exchange mode, delete
the OST, and see if that does what you want.
