connecting to wrong mail server

totalprocess, Javi, essejc,

The problem I have is that Outlook keeps prompting users to log in to a
previously set up server that we are no longer using. It even prompts users
that were not with us when the previous exchange server was running; yet it
still prompts them. The only trend I see is that all users have had their
outlook anywhere set up. Somehow, the set up of outlook anywhere triggers the
prompting for credentials everytime outlook starts. What is more confusing is
that it does ask for credentials to connect the current exchange server, but
the one that is no longer online. Any thoughts? help...

I assume you've properly decommissioned the server and removed it from the
Exchange organization?
Sounds like a misconfiguration in your firewall and/or Exchange publishing
addresses. I'd start with checking those.

Either way, it doesn't sounds like an Outlook-level issue. I'd recommend you
start a thread for this in an Exchange newsgroup.

Good luck!
