Outlook is not your default email client.

I have several pc's with Outlook 2003 on them. Every few seconds a message
pops up that says Outlook is not your default email client or cannot process
the request. Please open Outlook and make it your default email client. The
problem is Outlook is already the default client, I have made sure of this
but it keeps happening on all Outlook 2003 machines. Can anyone give me some
hints on what may be going on.
Thanks Corey

I checked under options in Outlook and made sure Make Outlook your default
mail client was checked. I also made sure I.E. 6 was also using Outlook as
the default email client. thanks

What request is it unable to process? What are you doing at the time you
get that message? (mail merging? Sending meeting requests? Surfing the
web? Printing? Other?)

Well...it's trying to do something. :) The question is what.

Do you have any add-ins installed for Outlook? (Tools | Options | Other |
Advanced...)

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for not getting back in touch earlier. I
agree with you the question is what? I will try and compare some of the
troubled pc's with the few goods ones that don't mess up.
