Outlook is freezing while scrolling throw the inbox

J

Johnny Fugazzi

I have an inbox that contains about 3300 email messages. I have these
grouped by sender.

This problem started happening a couple of days ago..

When I scroll through the inbox, Outlook tends to freeze. There does not
appear to be any rhyme or reason to why it is freezing. I am using the
scrollbar or mouse wheel to flip down the list of emails and it just
freezes. THe mouse cursor goes to an hourglass, and the scroll stops. It
also tends to freeze when colapsing and uncollapsing a group of messages.

If I go to the task manager I see Outlook is listed as not responding.

If I wait long enough, it will usually unfreeze only to do it again in a few
more minutes.

I am using Outlook XP (2002) Service Pack3, on Windows XP Professional,
connecting to an Exchange 2000 server.

Please assist
