Outlook inbox problem

When I open outlook The inbox says that I have messages but nothing appears
in the inbox. I have lost all my current e-mails.

Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like you're not using the correct view. Click on View > Current view >
Messages.

I am in current view. Now when I open outlook I get a message. Cannot
display information. There is either a problem connecting to the server or
an error occurred. Try starting Microsoft office Outlook again. This
happens every time I start outlook and there is not a problem connecting to
the server.

Have you tried running the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) ? If not, that's
worth a try.

Also, how about "Detect and Repair", it can be accessed from the Help menu.
