Outlook Importing - 'access to file denied'

I get this message when I am trying to Import from a file I put on CD. The
full error reads: File access is denied. You do not have the permission
required to access the file D:\ file name..... extension is pst.

Can you help me please? thanks!

You cannot access PSTs on CDs from within Outlook. You must copy them to
your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute before Outlook will
accept them. Additionally, importing is never the way to add data in a PST
to your current Outlook configuration. Instead, from within Outlook click
FIle>open>Outlook Data File, browse ti the PST, select it, and click OK.
You'll now have access to all the data it contains.
