Outlook has encountered a problem

I have Outlook 2000 and ever since IE7 was installed, every time I close
Outlook I get the box saying 'outlook has encountered a problem and needs to
close'. This slows down the PC especially when I'm switching it off. Is
this a common probem and is there a solution to it please?

I wouldn't know how to uninstall IE7 and would have assumed it was unwise,
but I must admit I've been quite surprised that IE7 is so very slow. MSUpdate
installed IE7, so did it leave IE6 still in my system and would uninstalling
IE7 automatically reactivate IE6?

Many thanks

In Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs, you should be able to find
"WIndows Internet Explorer 7". Remove it and IE6 sholud still be there and
opertional.
