Outlook Groups-use or not?

KimC

I have been reading the entries concerning Contact Groups and several times
have been advised not to use Contact Groups. Why, then, is there a link on
my Contacts window that says "Add new group"? I added one and now don't know
how to add contacts to it. Should I even bother? Threads here even advise
against using DL's and say to use Categories and Custom Views. Please
explain. Thanks.

I want a new goup titled iPhone so I can restrict my iPhone phone book (via
synch) to only my more important contacts thereby reducing clutter in the
phone book. iPhone will NOT synch to distribution groups, only to "Groups"
per Apple TS

Were you posting a question for Apple here? Why?

Apple's iPhone forum for Mail, Calendar and Contact issues at
http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1144 may be better help for
this. You don't want a DL and I'm not sure if you can sync with the iphone
by category.
