Outlook Forms Won't Send

J

Joe

We are using a HelpDesk application with Outlook 2000 and
Exchange 2000. Our Helpdesk Request form has a button to
Assign the request to a tech, send an email to the user
telling them the tech assigned, and another to the tech.
This all worked last week.

Friday I needed to restore my system, and the button
doesn't work now. I've tried a Repair, applying Office
SP3, and dumped the FRMCACHE and USRCLASS dat files.

Any ideas what else I can try?

Thanx
Joe

Sounds like your app doesn't see the form for some
reason. Open the form in Design mode and go to the
Actions tab. For each custom action, determine what form
is being opened for that action. Make sure that this
form is either:
A) in your Forms cache
B) Published in the folder where you are hitting the
custom action from
C) Published to your Personal Forms Library
D) Published to the Organizational Forms Library

What I'd do to fix it is to open the form that the action
button attempts to open. That way it will put itself in
the forms cache and the form should continue to work (if
what's happening is what I think is happening anyway)

Good luck!

Thanx, I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling Office.
Not how I would have preferred, but it's working.
