I can't read files in my email attachments. When I click
on them they stay this gray color and won't open, acts
like they are not even there. I have never run into this
befor and have no idea how to fix it.

So you didn't think to use Google where you would have found that a) this is
a FAQ, asked almost hourly, and b) this is the wrong group, being as it is
for Outlook.

It would have taken less time to search than to post.

Ask in a newsgroup for Outlook Express. This newsgroup is for Outlook.
