Outlook Express

Hi,
My OS is Windows ME NAV2004 IE6 Outlook Express6.
Funny thing is happening with my messages. Incoming messages that I have
read, but not deleted, are stored in my Inbox Folder. But sometimes, after a
day or two, some of these messages re-appear in thick print as ""UNREAD
Messages"" and then at the bottom I see 1 or 2 messages unread. How can?
Please help. Thanks.

Wrong newsgroup but I can tell you to Never, Ever, store you messages in the
default OE folders such as Inbox, Drafts or Sent Items. Create folders for
that purpose under Local Folders, NOT subfolders of the default folders.
Move all your messages out of the default folders to newly created folders
and then click on Outlook Express at the top of the folder tree. Then go to
View/Layout and untick Folder List. Then go to File/Work Offline. Go back to
File/Folders/Compact All Folders and don't do anything until it's done. Then
go back to View/Layout and tick Folder List and File/Work Offline to get
back online.

Oh, and if you have Norton checking your email, disable that as it offers no
added protection and can totally screw up Outlook Express.
