Outlook Express

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to help. My OE E-
mail program will not load. Two error msg's come up.
#1 saya it may not be installed properly.
#2 says msoe.dll cannot be found!
This has been this way for a long time, so in the interum
I loaded Mozilla Foxfire with its Thunderbird E-mail
program. It acts very much like Outlook Express, and I
understand its based in MS Exchange Server anyway.
Problem is, I had an ISP email client named
usadatanet.com at the time. That was in New York State.
Now of course Thunderbird can't receive any emails, so
I'm looking to either go back to OE, or see if CS can
handshake with Thunderbird. I know they have a MIMO
protocol for POP3 and SMPT with OE. I hope this explains
my problem.
Thanks again,
Richmond Platz

What you want to try is go to add/remove programs and go
to add/remove Windows Programs it will ask you to wait,
when you get the new window listing installable windows
programs uncheck all except for Outlook Express, install
it again it may replace the missing DLL file you speak of.

Good Luck

You might want to ask in an outlook express newsgroup. Here is a list
of all newsgroups:

http://aumha.org/nntp.htm

In the meantime see these excellent sites on OE:

http://www.tomsterdam.com/

And specifically for OE's .dbx files, MVP Steve Cochran's:
http://www.oehelp.com/dbxtract/default.aspx

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
