How to repair Outlook Express 6?

Outlook Express became corrupt. It won't receive mail. I installed
Mozilla Thunderbird and it works. I downloaded OE6 but I can't
install it because a newer version already exists. I can't figure out how
to uninstall OE.

Any HELP??

Although written for WinXP, it works for all Windows
operating systems 98 or newer.

If you are using WinXP/SP2, and it was not already on
your computer from the factory, you will have to remove
SP2 first.

You might want to post this to the OE6 newsgroup first
and explain the problem better. A reinstall may not be
necessary, and may not be the fix needed.

Run this edit:

Enable Reinstallation of Internet Explorer or OE (Line 114)

Once done:

Re-install Outlook Express - Click Start, Run and enter %SystemRoot%\Inf.
Locate the MSOE50.INF file. Right click it and select Install.

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Set Outlook Express as default mail client - Start/Run and type in:
MSIMN.EXE /REG

As I've noticed you point out to some about reading the whole post before
replying.....

In this case, there is a way to do so; however, that said I would rather
provide a way to have OE working properly to where the poster moves on with
contentment while using another. For whatever and many reasons. )

Agree whole heartedly and would do the same. But it gets my ire when people
jump the gun and do not read a post and then answer to it with something

Oh, because the info that Mozilla fixed it is a clue to the problem.
However, I want
OE working even if I choose to use Mozilla. Plus, I would like to know what
caused
the problem if possible. Plus, I would like to know how to fix the problem
should it
occur next time without the "patch" of using Mozilla.
