open a run command and type in:
regsvr32 urlmon.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 oleaut32.dll click [OK]
Reboot your machine and try the links, does this help.

Are you running IE7?

Is IE7 set as your default browser in Set Program Access and Defaults?

I am having the same problem--cannot open links. Where do I go to Set

Please begin your own thread and state your IE version, Suzieq. Thanks.

Start > [Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs >] Set Program
Access and Defaults.

Hi Robear,

The solution was to force Thunderbird to go to the default browser
which in my case is Firefox. I typed the following in Start/Run:
firefox.exe -silent -nosplash -setDefaultBrowser and then clicked ok.
