E-Mail hyperlinks and attachments

When I click on a hyperlink in an e-mail I get a "locate link browser" dialog
box. Clicking on desktop and IE6 (or Firefox.. I've tried each as my default
browser) gets an error message that "Outlook cannot start the Web browser for
C:\..... The Web address may be incorrect, or your Web browser may not be
properly installed." It worked fine until about two weeks ago, and I don't
know of any changes.

I am also unable to open attachments in e-mail. I get "Access is denied"
whenever I try.

XP with SP2, Norton Antivirus and Zone Alarm firewall.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
