Outlook Express

I'm having a problem with Outlook Express 6. I've never had this happen
before, and I haven't touched or changed anything. I'll hear the sound that
tells me an e-mail has arrived. The new e-mail icon will show up next to the
time on the bottom right of the screen, but when I go to check it, there's
no e-mail there. Or if it says I have two e-mails downloading, only one will
be there. This has been happening for about a month or so.

Has anyone else had this problem before? Is there someone that can tell me
what the problem is and how to correct it please?

Best to ask the experts in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

You'd likely do better with this question in an OE newsgroup, but a
quick guess as to what's happening: the mail you don't see is being
caught by a filter.

Are you using any Message Rules (including Blocked Senders) that might
filter an incoming message to Deleted Items folder and mark it was Read? OE
still considers such messages as New Messages.

Also make sure View > Current view > "Show all messages" is enabled.

Click View, "Current View", "Show all messages". Also look in the
Deleted Items folder, any SPAM folder, and look at your message rules to
see if any rule is preventing, or moving email downloads, etc..

The first three people told me not to post my question here, so I went to
WINXP OE6.

Anyway, I DID have one e-mail address that I blocked. I unblocked it to see
if that's the one that's coming in. I already had "Show All Messages" in
Current View checked. So we'll see what happens.

Thanks!
