Is there any way I can change the listing of newsgroup messages that are
displayed, so that the latest ones are at the top of the list. Right now I
have to scroll down to the bottom to read the latest entries.

In Outlook Express, you can sort messages by clicking on the
column header (for example, to sort by date and time, click on
"Sent"). To reverse the sort, click on the column header again;
that will change from ascending to descending, or vice versa.

Click on the "Sent" bar and the presented order will reverse.
