I have the following error when I try to Acess my Outlook Express AFTER my
computer has set idle for awhile:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Account: 'm1.182.telia.com',
Server: 'm1.182.telia.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response '+OK 1162
bytes', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I run Mcaffe Security and have disabled it but to no avail.
I have read thru some of the posts and tried some suggestions but no luck!
Anyone have any other suggestions?

Go to the Properties of whatever device you are using to access the
Internet (modem, ethernet network adapter, wireless adapter). Get to
these Properties from the System applet in Control
Panel>Hardware>Device Manager. Then double-click on the device's entry.
Look for a Power Management tab and uncheck "allow Windows to turn off
this device when not in use".

If you are using a dialup modem, also check its settings to make sure it
is not disconnecting after x number of minutes.

Thanks Malke I'll try it when I get home tonight and let you know if it
works. Can I find all of this in the control panel? Is that where I start?

There should be a modem applet in Control Panel if you connect via
dialup. Another place to look for dialup properties is in the Internet
Properties applet (also in Control Panel) under the Connections tab. If
you use dialup, you'll see an entry there. Check the Properties.

I tried what you said found the power management tab and there was NO check
in the box. Anything else you might be able to think of? If I reboot my
computer I can acess Outlook Express.

Since you didn't say how you connect to the Internet, I can't give you a
specific answer. Modem time-out? ISP time-out? Malware? There's no way
for me to know from what you've posted. To make sure your computer is
virus/malware free:
