All my saved emails whether recieved, deleted or sent are all disapearing from
my mailbox. I just recieved one from a reliable source and it disappeared
with all the other ones. This happens occasionally and I do not understand
why I am loosing these file or where they are going. Answers anyone.

I would try the following (in no particular order).

1. Scan for viruses.
2. Run Disk Cleanup (and perhaps defrag as well)
3. Compact your OE folders
4. Check you OE Message Store folder - you may want to change it to see if
this fixes your problem
5. Create a new e-mail account; make it the default - then see if this fixes
the problem
6. Check the web mail for your ISP and let us know if your e-mail is missing
there as well.

Instructions.
1. You may want to scan in Safe Mode - pressing the F8 key a few times while
booting
2. On your desktop go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
Disk Cleanup
3. From OE go to File > Folder > Compact All folders
4. From OE go to Tools > Options > Maintenance > Store Folder (button)
5. From OE go to Tools > Accounts

Finally, you may want to peruse this thread where a similar problem is
discussed.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Avoid Such Corruption in Future:

- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.

- Empty Deleted Items folder daily.

- Disable Background Compacting [N/A in SP2] and frequently perform a manual
compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/maintain.htm.

- WinXP SP2 only: Do not shut down your machine while Windows is
automatically compacting your message store.

- Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
