Outlook Express Won't Link

For some reason my Outlook Express no longer connects with IE when I click on a URL contained in an email. I've checked to make sure that IE is still my default browser so that does not seem to be the problem. I can click on URL's in other applications and IE starts up and connects to the web site. Why has it stopped working in OE
