OUTLOOK EXPRESS TO VISTA

ERVIN NIXON

With the purchase of my new computer outlook express seems to be no longer
available. Does anyone know how to retrieve e-mail from outlook express? At
the same time I can use my pda to read my e-mail from outlook. Is there a
way to still have access through vista?

You can use the Windows Easy Transfer program in Vista.

You'll have to install Outlook in Vista.

ERVIN said outlook express, not Outlook.

Nevertheless, if the OP wants to sync email in Vista with his PDA, he will have to get Outlook.

I have not been able to get Windows Easy Transfer to transfer anything from
Outlook Express or Windows Address Book to Windows Mail. I have tried
running it on several different Windows XP sp2 machines, and it does not
appear to be transfering anything that has anything to do with Outlook
Express or the Windows Address Book.

You can try using DBXtract or DBXpress on the DBX files. Then you can drag
the individual messages into folders in WinMail. see http://www.oehelp.com
