Outlook Express signatures

I am trying to create a signature from Word that includes Word Art but
Outlook Express won't let me do it -- says it isn't a valid text file --
anyone know how to accomplish this another way?

Set you message format to HTML
Outlook Express
Options
Send tap
Under Mail Sending Format
Click HTML

Thanks so much for responding BUT....
I already have it set to HTML in the options and also in the email window.
When I go to the signaure tab and select to add new signature then browse
for the file in word and then compose a message -- I get the error Warning:
