Outlook express problem

My laptop will not hold the password in outlook express. I have the box
checked to hold it but for some reason it just doesn't hold it. I don't
know if all laptops are like this Does anyone know if there is a setting I
am missing to get it to hold the password?

Outlook Express keeps prompting for your password - Repair

This fix also applies to Outlook, other programs that store passwords
in the Protected Storage System Provider sub-branch of the Registry.
It also corrects some issues with Internet Explorer and AutoComplete.
