I have a problem with OE. Everytime I open OE it cuts me off the net. I do
have avg installed, but the e-mail scanner is not installed. Any idea what is
causing the prob?

take a look at your settings in OE

1 Tools
2 Options
3 General tab - you may have ' send and receive msgs at startup' checked
4 Connection tab - you may have 'Hang up after sending and receiving'

if you have, then OE will disconnect you from the Internet
